I could not even imagine that anyone could endure such pain. The only thing I dream about is to die. Death seems so sweet to me. I don’t want my son to see his mother decompose before his eyes.” Help me at least die with dignity! Please don’t leave my boy alone in this cruel world! He must study. Perhaps these are my last words!

Beautiful Lika died during childbirth. She was only 18 years old. She had dreamed so much of becoming Giorgi’s mom…! Giorgi (9 years old): “I don’t even know what a mom is. I only know that I would hug her all day long! Don’t take off your jacket,” he asks the correspondent, “it’s cold for us. Outside is much warmer than at our home. When the sun is out during winter days, my grandmother and I often warm up outside! At home, we wear everything we have and huddle under a blanket! “I’m scared that either my grandmother or I will freeze at night. That’s why I’m afraid to sleep alone.”
They stand alone in this world: elderly and frail grandmother Elsa alongside 9-year-old Georgi. After the death of their mother, their father drowned his sorrows in alcohol, then contemplated suicide. However, another woman intervened, and he left for her!

Lali (Mother, 66 years old): “My son nearly died from pneumonia. We spent four and a half months in the hospital, and I never left Mamuka’s side, not for a minute.  He was on a ventilator. The doctors advised me to transfer him to a palliative care unit for terminal patients, but I refused” Here we see an example of selfless love and heroism from a simple Georgian woman—a Mother with a capital M. She cries bitterly because of her helplessness, and she’s embarrassed to ask for help, but she has no one else but us.  Help Lali save her only son, to whom she has devoted her entire life! Mamuka’s life is in our hands, friends! Each of you can help extend his days! 

You helped a widow with two children, significantly improved their living conditions. Gio and Nino are rejoicing and celebrating Boxing Day! Teona will continue to need our support, she cannot go to work because of her son’s illness. Thank you and bless you for everything you do! Five-year-old Lizzy clutched a piece of stale bread with a death grip. Malicious death took away her beloved brother soon after birth, and now it is trying to take his twin brother, three-year-old Zuka. The cursed poverty turns death against him even more. The Pipia family is living in hell.
