Not long ago, the eyes of the four little Berdzenishvili children from Saguramo were filled with sadness and fear. The little angels were eating dry bread.  Eleven-year-old Dachi went to school in old clothes. The beautiful sisters – Barbare, Nini, and Anastasia – dreamed of toys and new dresses. The children slept on rusty beds, and their bones ached. The children’s father is ill and unable to work, and their mother couldn’t leave the children alone, so poverty had taken deep root in their home, and hopelessness shone through the eyes of the four little angels. Today, for the first time, their eyes shine with happiness because a miracle has happened and all their wishes have come true. We share with you a photo collage that once again convinces us that kindness is a blessing from God within us.  With every good deed we come closer to the Lord.

Parents have peace of mind: the children will not go hungry! Thank you to everyone who lent a helping hand to the Ozashvili family. The house where the Ozashvili family used to temporarily live was like a waking nightmare. Everything creaked and cracked, and mice scurried underfoot. In a completely empty house with bare walls three people were crying at once: mom Lia and two little children – Anna-Maria and Lazare. There was no table, nor what to put on the table. Anna-Maria kept repeating: “Bread, mom, bread…” Our immense gratitude to the Chernovetskyi Fund’s friends! You gave the young family everything possible: food, household appliances, furniture.

Maya lost the ability to walk during her pregnancy. She gave birth to a wonderful son, Saba, but she herself stopped walking. It turned out that it was due to inflammation in her spinal cord. “For these four years, while my Saba was growing, I couldn’t even dress myself,” Maia says. “I couldn’t even straighten a sock on my foot. I couldn’t stand up or walk to the bathroom. I was just alive and breathing. What kind of life is that?” We will show you the results of the tests and treatments that Maia received thanks to the friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund. Maia can walk with crutches, do exercises, and even do simple household chores. Maia has overcome her deep pessimism and believes that she will be able to take her son to kindergarten on her own! Thanks to the treatment, Maia has achieved real results. Thank you for helping her regain her spirit and believe in a positive outcome. However, there are still many problems where your help is needed. Maia has no means to feed or clothe her little son. There’s no furniture in the house except for the beds, and there are no comfortable living conditions. Please consider joining the project as a constant supporter!

Wherever the girls go, the twins—Lazare and Gio—are right behind! Don’t think they’re too little to take part in everything!
Clear the way to the gate so they can watch the uncles bringing in the new gas stove, or they’ll start such a fuss that everyone in the yard will know about it! And to make sure the twins can reach and touch all the new things, someone has to carry them around. Got it? “To the new fridge!” Lazare points, and his sisters rush over, carrying him along. “To the new cabinet!” Gio demands, and they open it up, letting him sit inside for a bit. That’s how it went the whole day while the Fund delivered the aid. Mariam, Shorena, Khatia, Barbare, and Ani carried their little brothers around, showing them everything—and sharing the joy with all their hearts.

Mother Elena: Forgive me for bothering you and asking so much, but isn’t this a shared cause of ours. I won’t hide it—I’m relying on you again… (Smiles) We’re always in need of medications, diapers, wet wipes, and cleaning supplies for the bath and toilet. To care for our three bedridden residents, I use a special cleansing foam. Maybe someone would like to donate a piano to the shelter? It doesn’t have to be new, just in good working condition. Our grandmothers need more joy—this would truly entertain them. And who knows, maybe someone would even give a little concert, like the students from the Georgian-German School “Skhivi.” Oh, what a wonderful day that was! I’ve also been thinking of enclosing the area where our residents sit during the day, to shield them from rain and wind. Metal-plastic would be best. I’m seeking help with this as well. The “Lazaret” shelter regularly needs medications, diapers, hygiene items, and cleaning supplies. Visiting the grandmothers in person is a lovely idea! This day will bring them so much joy and become a lasting memory!

Irma: If possible, I would ask to have our ceiling repaired. I’m tired of this constant fear, always being on edge, afraid something will fall, or someone will get hurt. I also desperately ask for help setting up a bathroom (a shower). It’s already getting quite cold, and I’m still washing the kids in a basin out in the shed. The Nozadze family welcomed your gifts with great enthusiasm and joy! Some of their household problems have been resolved for now. Our special thanks go to everyone who helped! The pressing issues that still need to be addressed are repairing the ceiling and setting up a bathroom. Your help is needed right now!

But now, Giorgi has been reborn. The terrible pain has disappeared from the child’s face. God, how peaceful he looks now. His ocean-blue eyes are full of happiness. What a transformation… God, it’s unbelievable!  Dear friends, thanks to your kindness, 27,000 lari was quickly raised for the boy’s treatment abroad. And now you can see the result! Instead of pain, stars now shine in this child’s eyes. In addition to the successful treatment abroad, the Makhardze family has another wonderful piece of news. The children have escaped forever from the dreadful hut that had no roof or floor and whose walls were damp with moisture. From today, they will live like human beings. God, miracles really do happen!

Dear readers! This is such a happy ending to the terrible suffering of this angelic girl. Happy endings do not only happen in fairy tales. They can happen in real life, too, with one difference: in reality, you don’t need to be a prince or princess to conquer evil. What matters most is that if you do even a little bit of good, you will surely triumph over evil! Mariam, a sunshine girl, has said goodbye to her disability status thanks to your kindness. She has many bright years ahead of her. Kindness always wins!

Before tragedy struck, Likuna loved singing, dancing, and taking tons of selfies. But then, during a game, one of the kids accidentally hit her in the head with a rock. Since then, her family has only seen her distant expression, worrying during her epileptic seizures, and dressing her in diapers. It seems like her mind is asleep. But when we arrived to deliver the presents you provided to the single mother Tamara and her four daughters, we were in for an emotional shock! The workers carried a fridge into the house, set up a new gas stove, and brought in a washing machine.  The only thing left was the TV. Likuna showed interest in it, so we played a Rihanna song for her…  And Likuna danced like she used to! She smiled like she used to! She was happy and free from her illness for those four minutes! In those four minutes, we, moved to tears, witnessed the miracle your kindness worked!!! Lika needs to continue her treatment; it’s a matter of utmost importance. The Tsukhishvili family is deeply touched by the tireless attention you’re giving them. How we wish for the illness to recede! With faith in Lika’s recovery, we will continue to help her!

You’ve freed Luka from two years of pain and suffering! You’ve given him back the ability to sit and stand normally. After his massages, he will be able to walk like before. Tsiala (the mother): “Before the surgery, the doctor told me: ‘Keep in mind, I’m taking him in, and I will return him twice as tall as before.’ Seeing my son standing up straight is indescribable!” For all of his 17 years, Shalva walked with bent legs due to cerebral palsy, leaning on his mother or grandmother’s hand. And for all those 17 years, he dreamed of standing up straight, walking on straight legs. A few days ago, the family experienced that thrilling, long-awaited moment. For the first time, Shalva’s mother, grandmother, and the entire family saw him as he was meant to be – tall, stately as a cypress, and with the happiest smile. The entire country helped Shalva get on his feet. Friends of the Chernovetskyi Fund funded the surgery in Yerevan.
“He’s now taller than me and his mother! – says grandmother Manana. – This is the greatest day in our and his life!”

“Just a week after you highlighted our need, our empty home was filled with furniture, appliances, and children’s clothes!” – says Eter. “In a week, you solved problems that other organizations ignored! With you, I don’t feel like a beggar; I feel heartfelt attention and support. People call me every minute, asking what we need and how the little ones are doing. And I tell everyone that everything is wonderful now!”

We are so happy that our videos and posts have an immediate reaction! Gio Sisauri from a large family dreamed of a birthday with a cake and guests. This post deeply touched his wonderful teacher Ani Buzaladze, and she immediately gathered Gio’s classmates. On his birthday, the unsuspecting Gio was surprised by his entire class with hugs and gifts! We are moved by Ani’s actions and thank her from the bottom of our hearts. Etuna is over the moon with joy! We delayed our departure from Agara just to soak in her boundless happiness. This wonderful and positive girl always needs diapers and food, and her family could use help finishing their bathroom. Thank you, friends, for making this incredible, happy moment possible. You probably all remember Grandma Tsiala from Kakheti, who had both legs amputated. The poor old woman had a tragic fate from birth. She was 3 years old when she became an orphan. No mother, no father… Imagine how terrible it is for a child to be an orphan. Later, the woman lost her brother and nephews. The old woman with the tragic fate turned 75 years old, so she never celebrated her birthday. The employees of the Chernovetskyi Fund made a surprise for the old woman and visited her in Kakheti. The old woman could not believe her eyes. Tears of happiness flowed from her eyes. The festive table was set, kind neighbors joined in, and grandma Tsiala’s 75th birthday turned into a real celebration. You have probably seen for yourself the power of kindness. Good people, it is thanks to you that instead of tears, there is a smile of joy in the eyes of grandma Tsiala. Grandma is happy that almost all of Georgia has united to help her. For many years, there was great trouble in the Javarashvili family in Kakheti. Death wandered within the dark walls, trying to take the little sisters-angels. The three blue-eyed girls were so weakened by illness and hunger that they looked as if they had been pulled out of a grave. But fortunately, the children’s grandmother asked the villagers to reach out to the Chernovetskyi Fund to bring the children’s dire situation to the attention of kind people. And you, kind people, worked an even greater miracle than we could have imagined. Now, I will show you the photos because no words can convey that. You will see that there is no limit to a child’s happiness.

“I’m not afraid to open the wardrobe anymore, there are no mice in there,” says Mariam. “In the old wardrobe, they used to live and squeak annoyingly, and we had to put mouse repellent to get rid of them. But in the new one, see, there are only our beautiful clothes—new jeans, blouses, overalls…” “And I’m not afraid to sleep anymore,” says her sister Anano. “The new bed won’t turn into a horror attraction at night. Its legs don’t break, and it doesn’t collapse.” Poor girls! The Barbakadze family endured a lot of hunger and poverty before turning to the Chernovetskyi Fund for help. Friends, if any of you can give the girls a summer vacation, it would mean the world to them. Mariam and Anano have never had a holiday and are spending this summer in the sweltering city. Maybe it’s possible?! They dream of it so much, even when there’s no food in the house. The farther the dream, the more desired it is.
